Dr. Tara Brah

Tara Brah, MD, MS is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship-trained in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.

Dr. Tara Brah attended the University of Miami for her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, where she graduated summa cum laude. She continued at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she obtained her Master of Science in Genomic Medicine and her Doctorate of Medicine.

After finishing medical school, Dr. Brah completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco—Fresno where her passion for surgery was fostered. She then pursued sub specialization in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and completed her fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. There she was trained in the management of gynecologic conditions including fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, benign adnexal masses, Cesarean scar defects, and cervical insufficiency. She is trained in surgical techniques including complex hysteroscopy, traditional laparoscopy, and robotic-assisted surgery.

Dr. Brah has remained active in the academic community. She has authored peer-reviewed articles and presented her research at multiple national conferences. Dr. Brah’s other academic interests include resident education and surgical simulation and training.

When asked why she pursued this career, Dr. Brah states it is an honor to provide women with a comfortable and safe place to discuss their gynecologic conditions and to work together to create a care plan that meets their needs.

Dr. Brah is excited to return home to Fresno and to provide patients in the Central Valley with cutting-edge gynecologic care. When Dr. Brah is not in the office or operating room, you can find her running with her dog, hiking, paddle boarding, or spending quality time with her husband.
