What Is Viveve?

The Viveve Treatment is delivered via the patented, cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency (CMRF) device that rebuilds natural collagen.  CMRF technology allows for depth of penetration while maintaining patient comfort and safety

How Does it Work?

The Viveve Treatment works via a small probe which emits cryogen-cooling to protect the tissue and radiofrequency waves to heat the tissue while also cooling the tissue surface to prevent discomfort.  This prompts the production of new collagen to reinvigorate the tissue. One 30 minute treatment session in our office is recommended. Women typically begin to see results in 30 days and see the full effects in about 90 days.

The Science of Heat

The Viveve System is a patented, cryogen-cooled monopolar, radiofrequency (RF)  energy delivery system.  Controlled-cooling protects the tissue surfaces from any damage and impacts the resistance of the epithelial layer which allows for greater penetration of the RF energy.  RF consistently and safely delivers 90J/cm2 of energy deep into the tissue.

 

Understanding the Science

Viveve is currently enrolling a clinical trial for sexual function under an IDE and has no reportable adverse events as in the first 100 treatments. Viveve also has a Stress Urinary Incontinence IDE under FDA review.
